Our state-of-the-art clinic located in Coltishall, just north of Norwich, is equipped with the latest in advanced 2D, 3D, 4D ultrasound technology, allowing you to connect with your baby in breath-taking detail. From early reassurance scans to gender reveals and unforgettable bonding sessions, each scan is tailored to provide clarity, peace of mind, and unforgettable memories.
What sets us apart is our commitment to excellence. Every appointment is led by highly trained, certified sonographers who combine medical precision with genuine warmth. All scans will be performed by a Sonographer with a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound or a Midwife Sonographer, all of whom currently practice within the NHS. We take the time to answer your questions, explain every step of the process, and ensure you leave feeling informed, reassured, and deeply connected to your little one.
We have a direct referral process in place with the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Our private scan rooms are thoughtfully designed to accommodate partners, family, and friends, making each visit a shared celebration of life. With optional keepsakes such as printed images, digital video recordings, and gender reveal canons, your experience with us becomes a cherished milestone.
Meet the Team
Carys has worked as a Radiographer in the NHS for over 9 years and holds a Postgraduate distinction Degree in Medical Ultrasound and Mammography. She currently works part time at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital working in obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasound. Opening my own clinic is the fulfilment of a long-standing dream to create a warm, welcoming and luxurious space where clinical expertise is paired with compassion and personal care. My goal is to provide not just accurate and reassuring scans but a truly memorable and positive experience for every parent to be who walks through our doors.
With over 13 years of clinical experience, Dan is a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Sonographer, dedicated to providing exceptional care throughout every stage of pregnancy. Currently based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital as both a Sonographer and Practice Educator, Dan brings a deep understanding of obstetric and gynaecological imaging. His calm, professional approach and clear communication helps to put patients at ease, whether it is their first scan or a follow-up scan during a more complex pregnancy journey.
Dan is passionate about delivering not just accurate and high-quality imaging, but also a positive and memorable experience for parents, and appreciates what a significant moment a pregnancy scan is for parents to be. In addition to his clinical work, Dan is an experienced educator, mentoring sonographers, midwives, and junior doctors in obstetric ultrasound and contributing to curriculum design and training delivery. Whether performing a routine scan or supporting families through more complex findings, Dan combines technical excellence with empathy and care ensuring every patient feels informed, supported, and reassured.
Freya is a midwife with over six years of experience and has spent the last two working as a specialist Risk and Governance Midwife in the NHS. She holds a Masters Degree in Advanced Midwifery Practice. As a new Mum herself, she knows first hand how magical it feels to see your baby on the screen for the first time. Freya is passionate about helping families feel cared for, supported and comfortable when visiting the clinic. Freya’s role at First Glance Ultrasound is to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so you can relax and enjoy your experience in our beautiful luxury clinic.
